Bryan Runner

Story 1 (8/22/2022): Hitting of the Flies:
It was a hot summer Saturday. My dad was getting ready to grill some delicious food. He left the screened in door porch open. Big mistake if you ask me. The flies were waiting to come in. I yelled to mom what's for dinner when I heard a scream. I jumped out of my bed and ran downstairs. Mom needed my help getting rid of the pesky flies. Who knew I would come in handy. Bryan saves the day again.
Reason for Writing This: I was inspired to write this story to make light of my behavior surrounding hitting. When I don't have access to typing my thoughts I can get frustrated. I can hit if people don’t understand me. I wanted to make fun of myself and incorporate hitting in a funny way.
Story 2 (10/26/2022): OCD Frenzy
It was Friday afternoon. Bean and I got home from school. Our parents had just packed up the van to leave for their trip. Freedom was ours which means so is the house! I told Bean not to go too crazy since our parents would be back Sunday afternoon. Of course I went right for the snack cabinet and Bean ran down to the basement. By Saturday night the house was a mess. Food and Legos were everywhere. Sunday morning I woke up super early and put my organizing skills to the test. I rushed to put everything in its exact place. Going around the house and putting things back to the last centimeter. I heard the garage door opening. The parents got home just in time.

Reason for Writing This: This story was inspired by my OCD habits. I have a tendency to place household items in particular ways. It is annoying but I can't help it. In this story I try to put a positive spin on it.
Story 3 (11/30/2022): Guzzling of the Food
I hate these things. Every year my family goes to the lake. Each year there is this all you can eat chicken nugget contest. My mom enters me in it because I’m such a quick eater. Just because I'm quick doesn't mean I want to do it. This year I’m gonna show them who's boss and win it big. They will never ask me again. It's the day of the competition and I'm ready to go. I have ranch dressing on my side. I immediately start shoveling nuggets in my mouth. Drinking the ranch to get them down. I think I ate over one hundred nuggets by the time it was done. But I won, I did it. Victory was mine. I puked the entire way home. No one ever asked me to do the competition ever again.

Reason for Writing This: This story was inspired by my ocd around food. I tend to eat very quickly and a lot. What can I say? I am a growing boy. I wanted to shed light on this habit. I'm learning how to control it.
